The Challenge

It all started with Khaled, the CEO of Legacy when he contacted us in 2019 from a recommendation. He wanted to find a team that could automate order processing for Legacy, that was at very beginning at that point.

The challenge for Legacy was to automate a complex order processing system, which involved 20 different steps, and introduce a continuous delivery process.

Legacy also needed to generate a sperm reports in PDF and web format, automate sending emails, and integrate subscriptions.

As part of the challenge, BinarCode also integrated with various healthcare insurance service providers, this allowed for a seamless and secure transfer of data between the healthcare insurance providers and Legacy's custom e-commerce solution.

Additionally, they had to integrate with different fulfillment centers, labs, and shipping providers such as Fedex, UPS, and USPS.

The challenge was to ensure that all these processes were seamlessly integrated and automated to improve efficiency and accuracy while maintaining the privacy and security of sensitive data.

The Process

Initially, Legacy had their e-commerce website on SquareSpace. BinarCode created a custom e-commerce solution using Laravel (PHP) and integrated it with SquareSpace to read orders from there. Later on, SquareSpace was dropped, and a fully custom e-commerce and back-office (admin panel) solution was implemented using Laravel.

Stripe was integrated for payments, allowing for secure and hassle-free transactions. Email reminders for clients were automated using Laravel and Sendgrid integration.

A beautiful client dashboard was created using Vue.js, allowing clients to see their results and analysis as well as order new products.

A powerful admin panel was created using Laravel, which represented the center between the packages, orders, fulfillment centers, and laboratory. Various tools were created to integrate with the lab, including Kit scanner and QR code generator.

For PDF analysis results we integrated AWS Lambda and puppeteer.

A scalable integration with two fulfillment centers was achieved using Laravel's API and webhooks integration capabilities.

Finally, Laravel was used to integrate with various delivery platforms, including FedEX, UPS, and USPS, enabling seamless and efficient delivery of orders to clients.

Overall, BinarCode's expertise in Laravel, Vue.js, and API integrations helped Legacy automate their order processing system, streamline their e-commerce operations, improve customer satisfaction and number of orders handled per day.
