A Bilingual Aparthotel Website Built To Win Direct Bookings

YamaLuxe Apartments is a 4-star aparthotel in Bucharest that guests rate 9.0 out of 10 on Booking.com, yet roughly 90 percent of stays were booked through Booking.com and only about 10 percent came direct. Our FOUND team replaced a white-label booking-engine page with a five-page site in English and Romanian, built for guests searching on Google, for AI assistants answering their questions, and for booking direct.

A five-page bilingual site built to win direct bookings

Understanding the problem

The Challenge

Industry Hospitality / Aparthotel
Property 4 Stars, Around 50 Apartments
Bookings At The Start About 90% Via Booking.com

YamaLuxe Apartments is a 4-star, 13-floor complex in Sector 4 of Bucharest with around 50 hotel apartments, from studios to two-bedroom units, all with air conditioning and a fully equipped kitchen. Guests rate it 9.0 out of 10 on Booking.com across 2,005 reviews. The property was never the problem.

Where the bookings came from was. Roughly 90 percent arrived through Booking.com and only about 10 percent came direct. The goal the client set for the next twelve months is to grow direct bookings to about 30 percent.

The website standing between the property and that goal was a white-label frontend of its PynBooking booking engine. It barely ranked even when someone searched the brand by name, and it had little to say to a guest comparing apartments in English, in Romanian, or through an AI assistant asked for a cozy hotel apartment in Bucharest.

The client's own Booking.com data, covering the last 365 days, showed a genuinely international mix: 32 percent Romania, 9.6 percent United Kingdom, 9.2 percent Italy, then a long tail across Ukraine, Poland, Germany and Israel. A site in one language was never going to cover that. BinarCode was already running the paid campaigns on this account, and the build became a second workstream on the same account.

How We Built It

The Process

From a discovery workshop in early July to a live site in August, our FOUND team ran the work in four phases, all pointed at the same outcome: a guest who finds YamaLuxe Apartments and books direct.

The Romanian home page asking guests to book direct with YamaLuxe Apartments

Phase 2

Content And SEO Architecture In Two Languages

Every page was planned twice, once in English and once in Romanian, with hreflang alternates so search engines serve the right version to the right guest. Titles were written the way guests search, for example Hotel Apartments for Rent in Bucharest, and meta descriptions close by asking for the booking rather than describing the page. Each room type got a dedicated landing page, from studios to two-bedroom and Jacuzzi apartments.

Phase 4

An AI-Readable Launch

The site launched with structured data machines can read. A LodgingBusiness block carries the address in Sector 4, the phone number and the 9.0 out of 10 rating from 2,005 Booking.com reviews. Room pages add HotelRoom markup with occupancy and an FAQ block built from real guest questions, including whether the studio price includes parking and how far the apartment is from the center of Bucharest. Open Graph data is set on every page, in both languages. The live site audits at 100 for performance and 100 for SEO in Lighthouse, with zero blocking time and zero layout shift.

Phase 1

Discovery Workshop

We opened with a 142-minute workshop with the client's marketing lead and the delivery pod, an SEO and delivery lead, a copywriter and a designer. We mapped the buyer personas, families, couples, business travelers and long stays, the questions guests actually ask about parking and what is nearby, the competitor set, the customer journey, and a tone of voice the brand described as warm and plain-spoken. We also collected the search terms guests use and the prompts they type into AI assistants, down to phrasing like a cozy hotel apartment in Bucharest.

Phase 3

Design And Build On The Existing Brand

No rebrand. We designed on the brand and logo the property already had, and kept the PynBooking engine it already runs, so the booking flow their team already knows did not change. What changed is everything around it. Every page now carries two ways to book: an availability check that hands straight into the booking engine, and a WhatsApp button that opens with the availability message already written.

Scope & Deliverables

What We Did

  • Bilingual Website Design & Build
  • SEO & Content Architecture
  • AI-Readable Structured Data
  • Booking Engine & WhatsApp Integration

A Direct Channel The Property Owns

YamaLuxe Apartments came into the build with a brand, a booking engine and a 9.0 guest score. What it did not have was a website of its own. FOUND, our website and AI visibility team, kept the engine, kept the brand, and replaced everything around them: a focused five-page marketing site, Home, Rooms & Apartments, Reviews, FAQ and Contact, shipped in English and Romanian, plus a dedicated landing page for every room type.

Because we already run the paid campaigns on this account, the site was written so organic search, AI answers and paid traffic can land on pages built for the same guest in the same voice. A three to six month content plan is queued behind the launch to carry that forward.

Technologies & Services

Built To Be Read By People And By Machines

The site is built with Astro and ships as static pages, so every URL is plain HTML that a guest, a crawler or an AI assistant can read straight away.

Bilingual SEO Foundations

Search-intent titles, meta descriptions that ask for the booking, and hreflang alternates for English, Romanian and x-default on every page.

AI Visibility

LodgingBusiness, HotelRoom and FAQPage structured data, so an assistant answering questions about apartments in Bucharest has something accurate to work from.

Two Ways To Book

An availability check wired into the client's PynBooking engine, plus a WhatsApp button that opens with the availability message prefilled.

What Shipped

The Results

The site is live with five core pages in English and Romanian, a dedicated landing page for every room type, and two ways to book on every one of them. The 9.0 out of 10 score from 2,005 Booking.com reviews is now published as structured data on the property's own domain instead of living only on someone else's. Search engines and AI assistants get search-intent titles, hreflang alternates and LodgingBusiness, HotelRoom and FAQPage markup to work from, and a three to six month content plan is queued behind the launch. Direct bookings at about 30 percent is the goal the client set for the next twelve months, not a result we are claiming yet. This is the asset built to chase it.

5 Core pages, each shipped in English and Romanian
9.0/10 Booking.com guest score, 2,005 reviews, now machine-readable structured data
2 Booking paths on every page: direct engine plus WhatsApp
100 Lighthouse scores for performance and SEO on the live site
